It may be hard to believe, but the KTM Duke line will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2024. Since its inception in 1994 with the original 609cc big single, the Duke has continuously evolved in various ways over the years.
The styling of the Duke range has become sharper, keeping up with the times and setting the tone for the naked sport landscape. It has transformed from a single bike to a full range, expanding beyond singles. It's difficult to imagine what the naked sport scene in 2024 would be like without Dukes and Super Dukes.
To commemorate this significant milestone, the team from Mattighofen will be releasing three 30th anniversary Dukes in 2024. These include the 2024 KTM 390 Duke, the 2024 KTM 990 Duke, and the 2024 1390 Super Duke R Evo. These models come with updates, upgrades, and more than just a fresh coat of paint.
The 2024 KTM 390 Duke receives numerous upgrades, such as a completely new chassis, new bodywork, adjustable suspension, and a brand new engine. It also features a full suite of electronic rider aids and a new dashboard.
The 2024 KTM 990 Duke also receives significant design considerations, including a new fuel tank, swingarm, and a new LC8c engine.
Lastly, there's the 2024 KTM 1390 Super Duke R Evo, which represents the next-generation evolution of the beloved 1290 Super Duke R Evo from 2022.
Since each of these bikes has plenty of updates to explore in detail, we will be providing dedicated breakdowns for each of them in the coming days. If you're not already following RideApart on social media, now is the perfect time to start.
In the meantime, happy birthday to the KTM Duke. We can't imagine the modern motorcycling landscape without you, and we're grateful for your presence.
